As quarantine started and real life friends became pen pals, we found that “making art” became somehow more and less accessible. With all the time in the world, the pressure and weight of creating grew heavy on our shoulders.

We started with a simple premise: a back-and-forth art project. One of us sent a poem or a song or whatever else, and the other would use it as fodder to create something else. Original, but influenced. Trying hard, but also learning to let it go.

Volume I of this project “Creatures Know It Too” is the wonky, glittery illumination of our correspondence.

We did this for us, but we hope you like it, too.
